I see that Phil Collins will never be able to play the drums again because of a spinal injury due to bad posture (so all you youngsters take cautionary heed and sit up when your elders tell you!!), "But.." as he says "don't worry I can still sing"

They said the same thing about Ginger Baker 20 years ago.

Collins is ace. The drumming on "Do They Know It's Christmas" is quality.

Granted - talented drummer, certainly has come out with the odd good one - "In the Air Tonight" was/is a classic in its day, the Drumming on Live Aid was brilliant, the Genesis thing I could take or leave, was really never a big Proggy fan, I always thought Marillion did Genesis better than Genesis did.
The most of his solo stuff - You Can't Hurry Love, Against All Odds, Easy Lover, One More Night, Seperate Lives, True Colours, Groovy Kind of Love - bland, banal tripe, - for me was the icon of what was the worst of the '80s

Understatement. What is sad is as I read each of those song titles I could hear the tune in my head, not good songs. Come to think, PC must be absolutely fucking loaded. Big style.
