The guy on the piano was Anthony and the Johnsons. Not my cup of tea it has to be said.

I'm listening to The Invisible right now. Pretty fucking good.

Friendly Fires ftw.

Elbow won last year. They aren't a guy on a piano.

Also, Glasvegas are very good.

Talking out of my arse for a change, it seems it was an old program and I was in fact referring Anthony and the Johnsons (presumably in the Big Labowski sense) - I found that painful to listen to.

I don't think Glasvegas are "very good". Nor do I think Florence is fit.

I reckon you'd like quite a lot of Radiohead's work if you gave it a good go MM.

I have had a go but I don't know what it is about them they are just wrong to me. Under the right (well wrong really) circumstances they make my the muscles in my shoulders and upper back tense up.

I heart some of Anthony and the Johnsons' work although they are not an easy listen.

Of A and the J's, i have I Am A Bird Now. "Not an easy listen" is a great way of describing it.

Nowt wrong with it but i've listened to it twice i think, and won't be going back to it any time soon.

I don't really think she's fit, i just think there's something sexy about her sometimes.

Radiohead - a band i just can't get into. I don't dislike them, but i just can't get into them no matter how hard i try.

Music like that should be banned, I haven't knowingly heard Galsvegas but its shite like Radiohead, The Verve (and a few others that I have deleted from my mind) that do that for me. I don't even has the time to assess their musicianship cos I have to get the sound off asap, absolute shite for me. Music to complement a bad mood is fine but I cannot tolerate music that will convert a good mood to a shit one.

I don't have much experience of the bands nominated but I saw a bit of FATM on the Glasto or some other festival coverage and they sounded awful. If this year's winner is anything like the guy on the piano that won last year (I am going off the Rough Trade BBC program recently) then they will be gash of the highest order.

Worst sentence ever written on the forum.

Verve used to be my favourite band. Saw them about fifteen times during my sixth form/first two years at uni. Epic stoner rock. Lost pretty much all their appeal when they acquired the "The" prefix for some reason. Might have been all the whiny acoustic bollocks they started churning out from Urban Hymns onwards. Sell outs. I like A Storm in Heaven, Verve era. After that they started to lose it for me. Can't stand Ashcroft's solo stuff.

Do it. Some funky beats on there. You'll love it.

I was in the shop buying the sunday papers with my headphones on listening to that remix album and this guy who I'd never seen before tapped me on the shoulder and asked what I was listening to cuz it sounded ace. Then he asked chould he have a listen.

That should tell you how ace this album is if even the tsst tsst tsst beat of someone elses headphones still sounds good.
