U2 have been getting away with it for over a decade, so why can't Oasis?

They're quite similar in that respect. I doubt either band would win over new fans with their latest material, they both rely on a very strong die hard fan base.

I class Oasis a bit like the lazy footballer who has the talent, but doesn't use it. If you can come up with Definitely Maybe, why the shiteness ever since?

and so the circle of life is complete.

Who needs Elton John?

no. Orson are the musical equivalent of a dog turd, Mcfly are the musical equivalent of a sloppy dog turd. The Cardigans however, are legends, true nordic legends of indie pop, with melodies to die for. I thank you.

They'll never outright better Definitley Maybe as it was written by a bloke on the Dole writing about every day things that connected with other people. I think the 2nd best album after DM is Standing on the shoulder of Giants.

I think their 2nd best is the collection of b-sides.

it astounds me still to this day how Acquiesce was a B side to Some might Say, then again they have some outstanding Bsides.
