Was watching a jacko doco this morning and a clip of freddie mercury came on, got me thinking who is the biggest act of all time. So i thought another one of miggs' shitty polls was in order. No doubt i will have forgotten someone from the list

Biggest: The band and or singer that was will be remembered as the best of all time, due to their stage presence, longevity, number 1 records and affect in the music world

Based on the fact that I saw Jackson live and he was shit and I saw Queen live and they were sensational, it has to be Queen. Never seen The Beatles or Elvis. Obviously if we are talking biggest as in size of person then Elvis was bigger than all of them put together.

I was not alive during any of those artists main periods of output.

I voted the Beatles

I need a definition of "biggest".

I decided to go for stage presence and general awesomeness.

If you're talking about stadium filling longevity I'd say you'd have to include the Stones as well. Pink Floyd as well maybe?
Where is Madonna too?

Personally I'd go with the Beatles as I think they had the biggest global impact although you could argue the same for Elvis.

I would have put David Bowie in this poll way before Queen. He shaped modern pop music more than any one else on here.

It's always hard because Michael Jackson is probably "bigger" than all of those acts but you would have to balance the massive change in media in the periods when these acts were operating. A large part of Jackson's career was in the post MTV period and I doubt he would have faired as well without it.

In summary; Miggs, your poll is poo. :p
