This year's Glasto has been hailed as the best ever. Isn't that what they say every year? Have they ever said, 'It was ok, a bit shit really. Last year was way better.'
I think the only exception is when it rains, in which case it's the wettest/muddiest one ever.

Watched a bit of Glasto on the telly. Thought Bruce was great - I'll be seeing him in Dublin in a few weeks time.

Lisa Hannigan played in the tv studio. She was very good. Is she well known in England? She is a megastar here.

But I can see why people don't like him personally or his musics. I love him though

Yeah, he shagged Kylie and then smashed her head in with a rock and dumped her corpse in a river.

Nick Cave is cool!

I only had BBC coverage (and no red button action) but I was massively underwhelmed. Clearly the audience the BBC were targetting was quite conservative (anyone see the warnings before the Prodigy -) but most of what I saw was dull as dishwater. I was hoping that I would hear some creative new guitar based music but unfortunately it all just sounded like variations on a theme :( . I am not a huge fan of The Prodigy but thay were the best act I saw.
I suspect (or at least hope) that this was a problem with the BBC coverage so, what did I miss?

Sitting in my chair at home, whinging about the boring music at Glasto - the irony...

Sonny's Burning by The Birthday Party (Nick Cave on vocals) is an absolutely stonking tune, one of my favorites at the time!

Just watching the 'Bloc Party and Doves' coverage I recorded. 2 hours.. I thought it would be almost all of their sets. Nope, loads of other crap and waffle. Don't title it that if that isn't what it is

Oh, Doves >>> Elbow btw

The coverage is good but they do have a habit of only showing a band's "greatest hits". BBC3 has been very good showing more full sets.

I was thinking this too. One track does not a concert make. I want to see how a set develops, not just listen to a soundbite. The red-button channels were better for this but still not great.

Every time I turned on bleeding Maximo Park or Kasabian were on, both of which are ordinary.

Neil Young was great. Spinal Tap, I tell you what, for as novelty act they have some decent tuneage.

Lili Allen, hope she fell of the fucking stage and did herself some real damage.

Also, Springsteen...am I right in saying he didnt play Born to Run or Born in the USA?!

Neil Youngs set warranted more than 5 songs, i found that massively dissapointing

Lily Allen when asked what she thinks of Bruce Springsteen: 'He's alright I guess, he's just old.' while pulling a sour fucking, fat, chav, buck-toothed face. I upgrade previous comment from damage to death. C^nt.
