Just on my way out of the door but jam on it has just catapulted me back in time. I think that was on a street sounds comp - Electro 4 from about 82. Two other tracks that I remember are king of the beat by pumpkin (???) and push the button by ????.

Those tracks are going to be going through my head for a while, making me feel young again, nice one KIMB.

Sorry about the depressing nature of some of my picks. I could have filled this up with songs that were out at the time of the milestones in my life and that would have been ok, but I was trying to mix it up a bit and pick songs that meant something to me lyrically.

I've agonised over whether to even post this cuz it feels a bit personal and too close to home.

Fair play to you mate. You've chosen songs which truly meant something to you, whether or not you particularly liked the songs or can listen to them now. That's the nature of this thread. They mean something to you, therefore they deserve to be there.

I do like them but I had forgottent that I do, if you see what I mean.

Just had a quick google of Electro 4 and there's some memorable tracks on there, Breaking in Space, Beethoven's 5th Street, Sucker MC's. It doesn't look like its available on CD so I better get my turnatable sorted out.

I have often found its bizarre that I can not hear a track for years and within a couple of bars the tune is back in my head, I remember the lyrics, even now, when I have to think hard about what I had for tea yesterday.

A blast back to the heady days of youth, nice one!
