Just tried but the file is pretty huge-you may ber able to advise on this, it's a wav file from Ableton, even compressed it's large. Is there a way to get the mix from ableton and store it as stand alone mp3s? |

Go to the below link and download the free program called "Audacity" and also the add-on for it called "Lame MP3 Encoder". Install Audacity, and then unzip the Lame MP3 Encoder file so you get the file called "lame_enc.dll" and then copy that file to the same folder that your Audacity program is contained. Once you've got Audacity installed, click on "File" and then "Open", and bring in your .wav file. Now click on File again and choose "Export as mp3". The first time you do this, Audacity will ask you where the lame_enc.dll is located. Indicate that, and then Audacity will convert the wav file to an mp3. Any further conversions that you do won't ask you where the lame_enc.dll file is, because you've already told it that one time. Hope this helps. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows |

Audacity looks like it does a lot more than convert wavs btw. What else is it good for? |

It's a ridiculously slow upload btw, which is annoying. Tis only a 70Mb file now, but going at 5 Mps. Grrrrrrrrrr. |

BTW iTunes has a free mp3 encoder which I use all the time. Just import that wav and it tells you it's not an mp3 and tells you to convert it, what could be easier? |

In Itunes just click on the wav file, go to advanced settings and scroll down, click where it says make mp3 version, done! |

Nah, I really want to stop using iTunes. At the moment it's allowed to sync new stuff to my iPhone but that's all. Evil thing that it is. |

It's really quite good... And beneficial for creating mp3's. |

And beneficial for creating mp3's. Will it talk to the ps3? No. It's evil. evil. And it creates horrible m4a/aac beasts that nothing else will use... |

OK, here we go: http://www.sendspace.com/file/n1geut Constructive criticism welcome. It's also pretty much just songs I've listened to for years, which may not be the best way to do a mix, but hey. Track listing (parental advisory-explicit content): Ice T-First Impression BDP-Sound of da police Eric B and Rakim-I know you got soul Gangstarr-Just to get a rep Public Enemy-Brothers gonna work it out Ice T-Straight up nigga Rebel MC-Street Tuff Young MC-Know how 2 Pac-If my homies call NWA-Express yourself Ruthless Rap Assassins-Crew from the north Cypress Hill-Real Estate Geto Boys-My mind's playing tricks on me Mobb Deep-Shook Ones Pt 2 Eric B and Rakim-Microphone fiend Marley Marl presents Juice Crew-The Symphony (Part 2) Raekwon-Incarcerated Scarfaces Cypress Hill-Tres Equis Ice Cube-Givin' up the nappy dug out Beastie Boys-Hey Ladies Naughty by Nature-O.P.P. I know that the bpm/tempo for Rebel MC/Young MC and 2 Pac is wrong, but I'm not sure how to change it for individual tracks in Ableton. There will also be loads of other things wrong, which I'd appreciate feedback on. I quite like it from Express yourself onwards, and don't mind some of the beginning, it's that bit in the middle that really bugs me. Mind, as I said, there'll be loads of other tips too... |

Great track selection but you really need to work on getting the mixes tighter, keep on keeping on bro! |
