Ooooh. So many to choose from.

I've rarely been as excited as the first time I saw Fishbone. '91 or thereabouts at the Academy. When you're 17 a black funk metal 7 piece in romper suits is pretty fucking amazing.

Who else.....

Verve back in their stoner rock days were an awesome live band. Saw them countless times around the smaller venues in Manchester. Academy 3 (or Hop and Grape as it was) just before they released A Northern Soul was as good as they got.

Orbital at Glastonbury, pretty much any time they played there was spine-chillingly good. Saturday night in '99 was Underworld followed by Orbital as the sun set. Beautiful.

Obituary at The Boardwalk. Brutal.

Agreed with Slart on Muse, saw them at Oxehen too. brilliant. their gig at MEN Arena edges it though.

Super Furry Animals at any festival is a wonderful thing.

Honourable mentions to Beta Band, Secret Machines, Grandaddy, Anthrax, Phoenix, Cypress Hill and probably dozens more. i could go on all night.

I'm looking forward to super furry animals at kendal calling now. Haven't really listened to them much tbh.

OH! OH! OH! How could could I forget the Cream reunion gig at the Albert Hall a few years ago. Their first gig since 1969 which as it happens was also at the albert hall. The year I was born too. It was the age of aquarius, dont you know. I've seen Clapton on his own a few times doing some cream classics, but to see the three of them playing on stage together... It was spine chilling. It was... Excellent.
