Turned em down because he wanted to appeal more to the kids. Shakin Stevens ffs? Eavis has gone senile surely.

One flaw in all of this. Pink Floyd are not on tour. I think Roger Waters is and wouldn't be available. David Gilmore was on tour and maybe he was offering his new band for Glasto.

The Glasto line-up looks piss poor. JayZ is good live but he plays so often in these parts it is hardly the kind of thing to get people charging out for tickets.

In Ireland JayZ appeals appeals to the tracksuit/ knacker crowd - the type who don't go to festivals, unless they are selling drugs, stealing cars or have been employed as security guards.

Gotta say i've never been into Jay Z, but he came on stage when i saw Kanye at the arena in December and did Encore...that was quality
