Not only that, our new guitarist is about 18, and some kind of prodigy. So the age of the band will be instantly lowered. At this rate, soon we'll be younger than The Enemy.:D Maybe i'm bigging him up, but he could be the new Richard Oakes. I realise some of you might not know who i'm referring to, so i'll leave it up to you to work out who i mean.:D

Not really, and that's not my style. It's just that we've almost been kept hanging back in a way, but now it really could be time to unleash the songs.

My main worry is the name of the band (I'll get shot for my next statement)

I hate Nick Drake with a passion (and for obvious reasons that's all I think of)

Bassman still hasn't sent me a cd.

And... I am gutted that I didn't get to see the "classic" Five Leaves (Left) line up as Bassman decreed that I got kicked out on my hole at Oldham's Pig and Whistle a few weeks back.

It'll never be the same for me.

Don't do that because I hate Nick Drake.

I'm sure many people don't make the link.

We wouldn't do it because you dislike Nick Drake.:D At the time, 2 years ago it suited us, but the music doesn't really reflect Nick drake now, not that we sounded like him to begin with. But we have had so many people ask us about the Nick Drake thing, it's become a bit of a nuisance.

Let's think of new names for "The Leaves"

My idea:

"It's your first album cover, why the glum faces"

Inevitably this will get abbreviated to The Glum Faces but still works imo.

There's no point now, we don't do those old songs, wait till sometime next year, we'll be back in the studio with completely new songs.
