What is Emo?

I was listening to the Beta Band on the way in this morning BTW.

Just another thought on this thread. Skinny jeans and Converse? That's soooo 80s and I ought to know.

I heart the beta band.

I have only one album by them that I got not so long ago. Some kind of best of it is. Probably The Best of the Beta Band, or along those lines.
Shame the band is no longer a going concern.

Who cares for this band that the thread is originally about?
:D
Who are they anyway?!

Ah fuck it. Think I'm Emo. Can't be bummed atm. But I have never cut myself, I hate chavs, an I don't wear black hoodies with band names on. I don't have a floppy fringe, I'm just me! You'll see at a meet-up soon enough

I just looked up Emo and this fellow appeared:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo_Philips

Now it's so much clearer.

I have decided to write some teenage angst emo poetry.

I am the river
You are the sea
You open your arms
And I flow into you
I hate my fucking parents

Should I start a blog?

No, you didn't have the word 'sepulchre' in it therefore it isn't true emo poetry.

And thanks to that link about Emo Phillips I now know all about weird fucking sentences like: "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo," and "James while John had had had had had had had had had had had a better effect on the teacher," which can be rendered more comprehensible thus: "James, while John had had "had," had had "had had;" "had had" had had a better effect on the teacher".

*head explodes*

There's too much space between the coach and and and and and horses.
