Kings of Leon - Youth and Young Manhood - One of the greatest debut albums I've ever heard... still
MGMT - Oracular Spectacular - Just seen them live, really very good, a lot better than I thought they would be to be fair.
Richard Ashcroft - Keys To The World - A great solo effort from the Verve frontman!

Balls. Forgot that was tonight. Forgot to go the last time they played Manchester too. How was it? Decent enough album.

Now these two are just a couple that i loved back in the day and would listen to on a daily basis.

Image

one of the best dance/trance albums i ever heard, helped me through many a school day.

Image

back when they were proper not shitty manufactured pop.

They were really good. They did everything, ended up just "fucking around" (His own words) because they had time left on the set, and just turned it into Radiohead's Crazy! One of the better gig's I've been to recently if I'm honest

My fave 3 albums...

1. Teenage Fanclub - Songs from Northern Britain.... If you could bottle this album save it for a thousand years and open the bottle...this album would still be as fresh as a daisy, beautifully crafted songs with lovely tales to tell...a masterpiece.

2. GreenDay - Dookie....I know its power pop, but every track makes me smile and its a great feel good album to listen to and not get all "nme and Q" over...

3. Rage against the machine (self titled album) - lyrically a sign of the times and a fine debut album, doesnt get much better.

Listened to that again over the weekend, absolutely love it. Had since it was released 14 years ago and still listen to it quite regularly.

My list always changes, but these 3 are always there or there abouts...

The The - Soul Mining

New Order - Low Life

Radiohead - The Bends

Got those three. Not a massive fan of Low Life, but I love the other two. Soul Mining is absolutely brilliant.

See i don't get the Sgt Peppers thing...this isn't even my anti beatles thing either, i just don't get it. They've made far better than that, even i can see that.

And Withy....Boy Kill Boy?? I thought that album was average at best.

Anyhooo...

Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning
Lyrical genius, i love Conor Oberst and for me this is his best effort so far. My favourite lyricist.

And now, seeing as you don't like Oasis there's no point including Morning Glory because that will serve no purpose as a recommendation to you will it?

So next i'll go with Stephen Fretwell - Magpie

Finally, i'll go with what i'm into at the moment... Lightspeed Champion - Falling off the Lavender Bridge
Got a lot in common with the Bright Eyes album, but avoids being the same.

I suppose they aren't my three favourite albums, but they'd be three of my top recommendations.

I'll try that Squidler. Fretwell's supposed to be very good, but I can't remember if that's you who's told me that.

I have got Morning Glory, I just think it's shit.

Forgot about the reasons bit.

What sort of reasons did you have in mind?

They're all good albums, isn't that reason enough?

I've had it with this already.

I've had it with you. You just can't play the game can you?

I want specific, "this album will make you immortal" type reasons.

I'll add them to the list though, grudgingly.

I hate Mark Ronson.
He hates the Smiths and he hates Radiohead. He must do.

Got the first two so I'll get that Talking Heads. I think that's the only album by them I don't have.
I love And She Was off it if that helps.
