Masters of Reality - Masters of Reality. A great album, but maybe not their best. I am borrowing my friend's recent reissue of this one, and it is pretty sweet, to say the least. Recording quality is top notch, as are the arrangements. Perfect stoner rock. I'm so happy for this album. Calvi's debut album was incredible, and contemporary artists today have started to get into the habit of making a good debut album, then a shoddy second. They show a 'creative bankruptcy'. But this is as good, if not better than her debut album, and is also a completely different album. She experiments with strings, has improved her vocals and still keeps the sweet, distinguished style that she has on her guitar. She uses the Fender Strat. as God intended! |

I was never a huge fan in their 'day' but the last two albums have been most enjoyable. Edgy and catchy. NIN 'Hesitation marks' |

Given that by far the biggest consumers of rap and hip-hop are caucasian males I was wondering what it was about this stuff that is so appealing to white kids? |

Digitally Imported have a new channel "underground techno" they play some excellent deep, dark thumpers which suits me fine but be warned there is some stuff that I would describe as experimental, in a bad way - almost unlistenable. |

Sounds like Bassman's wet dream. Imagine music that no-one else in the world is able to appreciate. Wow. |
