Not an album as such but I enjoyed a good few tracks on this mix:

http://soundcloud.com/dreakman/nova-cod ... y-dreakman

Dreakman is new to me but he picked out some good tracks. I would describe it as easy listening techno.

Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!

Takes a while to get to the point, but when it works, it's amazing.

Very good. Tempest is a particular highlight.

The Idler Wheel is Wiser - Fiona Apple. Sounds good, but needs another few listens to get my head around it a bit.

That man could play. I've always appreciated him but never fully got into him. Watching him play though. Jesus Wept. He was awesome

I know. If someone said to me 'what do you think of SRV?' I'd respond lauding his genius but for some reason have never listened to an album. Consider me now motivated.

FTR, IMO, this is the best version of Voodoo Chile I've ever heard, I honestly think I prefer this to JH's version;

Jim James - Regions of Light and Sound of God.

Front-man of My Morning Jacket, his first solo effort. Really enchanting album.

Image

Dropkick Murphys - Signed and Sealed in Blood. Pretty poor tbh. Rose Tattoo is a good track, though.

Image

Desaparecidos - Read Music/Speak Spanish. Conor Oberst is an amazing songwriter, but this really isn't my genre of choice. Lyrics are still great; he always delivers.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are releasing a new album next week, and they are doing a tour: http://www.nickcave.com/live/ Tour dates for anyone interested. Manchester tickets on general sale on Friday morning.

Also, The Veils have announced a new album for April, which I have no doubt will be brilliant.

I think I can here a faint fap fap fap coming from Kickers' direction.

A bit of psytrance for myself:

Also been hitting the acid channel a bit on Digitally Imported which threw up this

Been enjoying Dreakman's nova codium series (gentle techno, tech-house kind of thing), 1-4 here:

This is my get up and get going track at the moment
