My Hero from the Colour and the Shape is an awesome song. Live, they are rivalled only by Prodigy

Foo Fighters are great.

Cloudy doesn't like them because he is too old and he can't get his zimmer frame into the mosh pit.

So your argument for them being pants or whatever you said is redundant, because your not referring to the music, just the name??

Pretty much.

It's like Smashing Pumpkins.

Why?

Pumpkins aren't smashing nor should they be smashed.

I think you'll find I have either a smashing arguement here or I have smashed your arguement.

It's one or the other.

i agree. Now, i used to like them, or i used to think i liked them. Then i woke up one day and realised that in actual fact i didn't. To me, you need to get something out of listening to any band, whatever it be, but with foo Fighters i'm afraid i didn't get anything, in fact they bore me.

I disagree with this one.:) See, i think Smashing Pumpkins were superia to foo Fighters in every way. Apart from Machina album, which was incredibly hard work.

Yeah, well you're wrong and here's why:
Pavement (a very good band btw) wrote a song called "Range Life" in which they took the piss out of bands who claimed to be indie then once they'd made some money went off and bought a ranch to live on. In the song they namechecked the Smashing Pumpkins who then told the organisers of the Lollapalooza festival they wouldn't play the festival if Pavement were on the same bill.

Pathetic.

I'm not arsed about inter-band politics. To me i either like a band or don't, and it's 99% to do with whether i like their songs. In Smashing Pumpkins case i like them, in Foo Fighter's case i don't. I quite like Pavement.

Where do you stand on 10,000 Maniacs Cloudy? I mean there were only 4 or 5 of them.

And The Men They Couldn't Hang? Was the veracity of that name ever actually tested? We should be told.
