Mayweather is a class apart, and can't lose. If Mayweather is the only L on your record, it's nothing to be ashamed of. Alvarez will be a great.

The undercard fight will be better: Garcia vs. Matthysse. Wow.

I'm not so sure of that. If I was 36 years old and protecting an unbeaten record, a 23 year old with the power Avarez has is exactly the kind of fighter I wouldn't want to face. Getting paid $40m would take the sting out of it though!

PBF seemed to be in top shape against Guerrero earlier this year, and I doubt he'll be any different on Saturday.

His legacy is going to be the fact that he's gone his career undefeated, and he will. I doubt he'd take a fight now unless he was confident of winning.

I'd sell my legacy for $40m no sweat. He probably backs himself but tbf he didn't have a lot of choice but to face Canelo next. He may very well win but I quite fancy an upset. I don't think he'll stop him anyway.

I don't think he's stopped anyone at 154. This is a catchweight of 152, but I still think Canelo will be somewhat immune to Floyd's power, thanks to his shear size. But Floyd will be as elusive as ever.

If there's anyone out there who can beat Floyd, Canelo is the one. But I still don't see anything but a unanimous points win for Mayweather.

I agree..and id love to see money get beat just to shut his smug ass up..
Just like pacman, i think he lost to marquez twice..bradley was a bit meh.

pacman should have just had it with mayweather when it was on the table..it was the only fight out there...

and as for floyd, if ricky could have fought how he wanted with out the ref being a dick, he may have caused him more problems..

PBF has also said he could hang in mma....throw him to antony pettis..

PBF wouldn't last in MMA. He's a smart, pugilistic boxer. Not a fighter. He'd get eaten alive.

pettis just won the 155 pound title, and he would give pbf fits...he has no right to mention mma or the ufc guys ,has we all know its just small talk.
he has been and earned more doing his little spots at wrestlemania..

tbf mma pays no attention, just like tyson fury has recently been in a twitter war with ufc prez, dana white saying he would beat cain velasquez in a fight...
i actually think cain would beat him in queensbury rules boxing nevermind mma..
he would kill fury if it was mma rules, no joke..

i have always had a love for boxing, but it has taken a back seat in very recent time to mma, and i only see mma getting stronger...
the money is still in boxing, but its slowly leaking into mma, like bones jones being sponsored by nike aswell as anderson silva who is seen as the current goat and got knocked the fuck out by chris weidman which was brilliant...

mma guys dont score points from boxing but money has blabbed about what he could do...
tosspot...

I've really fucking enjoyed Chael's recent fights. He is top fucking class atm.

Same goes for Uriah Faber.

Wrong thread but fuck it.

Is tonight's fight available on PPV does anyone know? I can only see it at £10 per month on Box Nation. It says there's no minimum subscription but I doubt I'll be able to phone up tomorrow and cancel it just like that...

f5? Never heard of it. Sounds like the holy grail. How much is it? I pay £42 a month for Sky sports and a documentary channel, which I'm sure is far too much these days...

I've had no luck with streams for boxing before, I've downloaded more viruses than rounds watched.

SEC my friend, let me tell you, my pal at work, spent 5 ton, on a motorised dish and then was introduced to this F5 or F3 box..got it off amazon.
Its basically chipped up sky to the layman..
It has to be connected to broadband, and then it connects to a server that sorts the encryption out..

I think he paid 60 quid for the box, plus 60 quid for a years 'free gift'..which is the subscription ..
One of our own AD_87 pm'd me saying he has one and any help setting it up, he would be there..drop him a line and im sure he would fill you in a little better than me..

But it gives you the lot...including the filth, box nation, PPV , all the sport/movies and so on...
my mates had it since January with no problems ..

oh HD too...

who has give pbf his hardest test...ive seen most and i just cannot think who troubled him the most..
if hatton had been allowed to fight his fight without a prick of a ref he could have done better..
this kid canelo, is a good fighter, but just does not have the skills..or did not should i say.. :shhh:

i have little interest in boxing when it just none competitive like this.
pacman and money is the only fight left and its never gonna happen and i would back money all day long..

next week..johnny bones vs gus......now that im exited for for..it will be a bones win im sure..but should be a decent fight..

the last few ufc/mma events have thrown some great fights up ,some classics..
its where im at....mma for me has boxing in a brabo choke..

Same here.

**SPOILER**

when the fight was announced I, and most others, thought "Mayweather on points. He'll dance round him for 12 rounds and Canelo will hardly land a shot.". Got bored watching it tbh.

Al Iaquinta vs Ryan Couture on the undercard of the last UFC was a more entertaining boxing match. And that wasn't even boxing.

Disappointed with the fight. Codhead called it right. I thought Canelo might find a way through a couple of times but it Mayweather isn't showing any signs of slowing up yet. Probably an enjoyable fight for the boxing purests but I just want to see someone get put on their arse every now and then. Mayweather's dad says he wants to fight Amir Khan next. I bet he does.

spot on..
carlos and martin kampman, that was a brilliant fight..

dare i say that boxing has become predictable..

I was lucky enough to see benn/eubank ..
Saw benn and steve collins at the then nynex,it was a wicked card, hamed fought, our own ensley bingham had a go at a brilliant underrated lad ron winky wright.
herbie hide on the card, Micheal brody, carl thompson, and then over stateside tyson and holyfield part one..
brilliant night of boxing...

it seems those days are long gone for the cynical, money, making more money..

proper shame..

i will have a look at haye and the pikey though..
