Potential fight of they year tonight at middleweight btw - Sergio Martinez vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr. Martinez is a masterful boxer with only two defeats in 53 fights. Chavez is a proper mental bastard and is undefeated in 48.

This is a genuine superfight between two of the best on the planet and should be a great watch. For a flavour of the craziness in the build up check out the preview show (torrent).

Convinced myself I'm going to stay up for this all day, but there's a fat chance now tbh. Can see it being a great fight as well.

I watched the preview show last night, looks ace. Chavez is a household name but when I watched this I couldn't help but think his Dad was looking at his son as if to say 'You're good, but you ain't near as good as me'. Maybe I'm wrong.

Anyway, looks a cracker jack fight, Martinez is quality also.

There's maybe only half a dozen people in all of human history who were as good as his dad. What a warrior. Still looks in great nick too.

Round 12 was immense. There's talk about a rematch, but also talk of Alvarez vs. Martinez. So many fights that I'd like to see right now ... Get them made!!

Ricky Burns vs Kevin Mitchell last week - two of our best went head to head. Well worth a watch.

Brandon Rios just fought Mike Alvarado, and in case anyone is wanting to watch it, I'm not going to post the result. I'm just going to recommend that everybody watches it, because it is the best fight I've seen since the Ward-Gatti trilogy and I'm waiting for a rematch already.

Audley Harrison ko'd after 1.22 of round one.

Surely Bastard will suggest he is the Worlds greatest boxer?

On the basis of £ per second in the ring he probably is?

I'd guess Hamed would have him well beat on that score.

I'm not sure Harrison ever really broke through into the properly big purses, albeit he made decent money. tbf he did put bums on seats for a long time. World class fighter in amateur rules. European class as a pro.

This..
more to the point..the scouse who sparkled him, forge putting him in with tyson fury..i think he is on a better level and should be looking at a world class fighter..which is quite hard in the HW division..

^^ that. Felt those body shots from here.

Another fight with Kessler would be great. Ward would own him again though, although love to see the fight happen.
