A shit "comedian" who was mildly amusing the first show he did, then he made a career out of just doing the same things over and over again and charging people to see it.

I love the Olympics, and athletics in general. Anyone who says we have no chance at the Olympics obviously knows sweet FA about some of our current athletes. GB men just won the European cup, the women got 3rd. Andy Baddeley won a great 3000m at the world cup (the first time a British man has won this event) and also won the "Dream Mile" in Oslo a few weeks ago beating some of the best mile runners in the world. Tom Lancashire, 22 year old Bolton lad, won the 1500m in Oslo, Martyn Rooney is running quick 400m times and won at the world cup, Mo Farrah won the 5000m, Phillips Idowu won the triple jump, Jenny Meadows won the 800m, Nicola Sanders won the 400m etc... You get my point?

That's fine about Maria, i luvs her though.

But Lee Evans isn't funny. I must admit the XL tour or whatever it's called had a few moments that made me chuckle, but my friend lent me a five show boxset and i tortured myself by watching them all in a week. It's amazing how many jokes he repeats...and how each time they become less funny. The whole "monkey man" and the movements of a dickhead wore thin very very quickly.

he is. you are wrong. the box set is not great because as you say, it is the same act being developed so why put them in a set together? but as a single show the one is edinburgh is the best stand up show ive seen.

Any stand up will get on your nerves with overexposure. My sister worked for a promoter in Dublin. One of his clients was Billy Connolly. My sister had to attend every night of a 14 night run. Eventually she just sat in the foyer out of boredom.

She went for dinner with Billy and his entourage every night though. He ended up being fairly boorish.
