A few good bits but generally a bit meh. Tries a bit too hard to find the right formula imo.

6/10

Bit harsh that.

I would have given it a 7.

2/10 Absolute shite on every level.

What is it with Richard Curtis's obsession with Britain's upper middle classes angst? Who gives a flying fuck?
Overlong by about 45 minutes and plain tedious.
When Bill Nighy's character (you know the character even if you've not seen the film) announces he has cancer I thought "Thank fuck, should end soon then?"
If only that were true. Dire.

This is the kind of film i've been actively avoiding for most of my life.

Love Actually , Notting Hill & Four Weddings .. What a pile of utter putrid shite. :o

Not mind blowing, but satisfactory. Pleasing on the eye. A decent watch. 7.5/10

Super Eight.

Started so well, like any going to be feel good teen summer film, really promising. About 2/3 became a semi sci-fi flick. Sci-fi is entry level cinema, its like a hand-job on a 1st date. Gets a result but no one is happy.

I didn't like Birdman at all. I'd give it a 4/10.

Watched this at the weekend:

Very clever. 8.5/10
