Its about two hours long. Great film. He will be releasing Hellboy 2 very soon followed by The Hobbit.

Del Torro is one of the best film makers around.

it was funny cos i watched it with three mates and another came in halfway through and kept asking questions. it was amusing being harsh when he asked what something was. typical reply. "it's a mandrake root you f**king stupid t**t. maybe you had to be there. good film, if a little bizarre.
also we all thought it was a children's fantasy film. when someone got brutally murdered by having his faced smashed in ten minutes in from the start we were all a bit shocked and realized maybe it wasnt a kid's movie!

For me a film like pans labrynth is totally boring i have to
Read all the words as opposed to juts sitting back
And enjoying it, Becasue i have to concentrate on the subtitles i
Never really get into the movie for some reason, i think its because i have to
Keep switching my attention from the subs to the picture

Surely it would be easier to just bring out an english version so other
Un cultured people such as myself and many others
Can get into the movie too, im sure im not the only one missing ou having to
Keep changing my focus and attention, so all in all i think
Subtitles are crap.

Cool. My local video library had Jabberwocky in the kids section for years. Must have sent a few kids to bed crying in fear and unable to sleep.

a lot of my favourite movies are asian. i find the subtitles make the horror even more gripping in a way. there are many very good movies you are missing out on if you avoid subtitled films. such as "city of god" and "oldboy". rent them two and see if it changes your mind.
hollywood remakes are typically shite. i think largely to the producers changing them to make it more marketable and relevent to america and also a directors ego wanting to do it his own way. films like the ring and the grudge are nowhere near as good as their originals.

Some of the best films I've ever seen have been non English Language films. Ignore them and you miss out on a lot.

Old Boy, La Haine, Yojimbo, Seven Samurai, Akira, Irreversable etc etc etc etc.

Me and the mrs watched untraceable last night, it's a pretty good horror thriller, it's more thought provoking than others i've seen recently.. the story line's good but it has soo much more potential.. I would provide a link to imdb and post a description but i'm on my htc phone.
