Anyone got a spare room for the night on the 14th, 2 lodgers looking for anywhere in or around Manchester. hotels are hard to come by and we will pay (2 of us).

Know its a long shot but its worth a try.

PS new forum looks good:)

It could be worth your while looking a bit further out maybe at b and b's in the peak district. Pretty regular trains or a not too exorbitant taxi fare to places like new mills, whaley bridge, chapel en le frith, chinley. Worth a try anyway. Good luck.

I don't think it's odd really. If City had got to a UEFA cup final in Glasgow we wouldn't have thought we were going to get there, and all the hotels would be booked up. I'd try asking to see if anywhere had a spare bed I could pay for. I don't for one minute think the bears fans thought they'd be visiting COMS this year.

Well, I'm a trusting kind of chap. As long as they brought a haggis supper I'd be willing.

Lol the only thing i could kill is a pint :D

I got somewhere in St. Helens, after spending 3 days phoning numbers and being told the 14th is all booked, most didnt need to be asked, when thy heard my scottish accent they knew why i was calling and what date i needed a room for.

This may sound hard to believe but manchester may well see the biggest number of fans it ever has, we have 300 coming from inverness true blues (6 bus loads) and i know we are a small city. No word of a joke guys, you may be looking at 100,000 + rangers fans!.

That is why the police are doing all they can to convince us not to travel because the crowds would be massive in the streets/fanzone.

Don't worry though, you may have read bullshit about us but we are not gonna tear up the town, or slaughter all the catholics in manchester :o.

All there will be is a MASSIVE party should we win, followed by an alcohol shortage in Manchester haha

Hope i get a ticket as i have always liked the COM stadium it is a beauty.:D

Oh well hopefully we dont run into any manky utd fans or ew just may have to belt out blue moon at the chunts :p

Manchester has to deal with 70,000+ cockneys/irish every other week so thats not a problem.

surley theres somthing closer than st helens mate, it's about 30-45min from manchester. Have you tried stockport, bury, oldham, roachdale etc

Im still waiting to hear if i've got a ticket, not getting hopes up though.

Hey Chris, Mrs W does a bit of a B & B side line, only word of warning is that she's quite pushy when it comes to selling on her extra's.

No offence Chris, but its not all bullshit.

I live in Barcelona and the ranger’s fans were far the worst ive seen here in 5 years since I lived here and that includes Celtic x 2, Chelsea, Liverpool and the Scum last week!!

Caused no end of grief for the locals and tainted the British more than weekenders away for stag do’s!! They were not too impressed by Shitting/Pissing in the street and on the Catalan statue, and general chaos and trashed the city leaving more rubbish than a local landfill.

I know lots of Rangers fans and generally a pretty good bunch in general, but they made no friends here in BCN.
