could be the worst result of all..
I would have agreed to that prior but between the bowlers the figures are mouthwatering, and with batsmen like Clarke, Smith, and Haddin, it's a formidable side.
we'll soon find out when Aus play SAfrica at theirs following this series.
I can never remember such a one sided ashes, ever.
The Australian bowling has been superb. Harris and Siddle in particular provided a masterclass in disciplined bowling yesterday, every ball aimed at the top of off. If they weren't taking wickets, they weren't giving away runs. Think the run rate was just over 1 for yesterday's morning session.
England let Australia off the hook by constantly banging it in short in the 1st innings. Mitchell Johnston gets away with it because he's banging it in at 90+ mph, but if you keep pitching it up at 85mph against Haddin in particular, he's gonna hook it away all day.
Haven't been that convinced by the Aussie batting, they've looked fragile at times. The difference is you expect one of them to hit a tonne and get the rest out of trouble. They seem to take it in turns. I think they might struggle against SA. They were fired up for this series and the crowd played a huge part too. Dale Steyn's a different animal to anything they've had to face here.
