Looks like they may make a game of the 3rd the way things are going!

Or at least avoid a white wash!

Only rain can save us now. Almost hope it doesn't happen though, Australia deserve to win this one.

I hope so but you never know. Be nice to make the series interesting I think. England are a better side than us, no doubt, bit of a miracle we're in this but, overall, we have to remember cricket is the winner here.

:liar:

:animals-cow:

Oh FFS, when are we fixing the smiley placement thing so animals can look they are getting noses up their foofey?!

It'll certainly make the next two more interesting. England's performance today has been pretty awful, the Old Trafford pitch is known as one of the few that doesn't really deteriorate so there's no blaming it on a 5th day wicket. Should be able to bat all day on it if necessary, although it would've been a bit of an ask, especially with the 8 extra overs added.

Has to be a batting wicket, giveaway being that WE could score on it.

Should've made a better fist of it today that's for sure. I think since the Aussies made a big total in the first innings we've been concentrating on time wasting and wishing for rain rather than playing as we have done up till now. That said, the Australian bowling has been getting better as the series has gone on. Siddle has been very consistent on line and length this test.

I did not want to retain the ashes in this way..
aussies should feel pretty dam fed up with how this test panned out, they were well in control and deserved to win it fair and square.
and i find my respect for mike clarke growing, hes a decent cricketer and a good captain..

hard luck my aussie muckers..no sledging from me t'day.

Harsh on Australia but that's cricket. In this country anyway. Could say they were a bit hard done by going off for the light yesterday, but tbf it pissed down not long after that.

I wonder if Gobby will accuse us of cheating again?

Tbh I haven't watched any of the series nor see any of the dubious decisions... Cricket can suck my arse.

Thanks boyzzz, appreciate the comments. All good, at least contested that test!

As for people I am beginning to hate, Stuart Broad is fast becoming a right cunt. Now, it is widely understood that pro athletes are cocks, and cricketers are their own brand of toss-face, but this dude is really starting to get my goat.

He's almost as good with the bat as he is the ball these days. He's turning into a poor man's Freddie Flintoff.

Anderson was shit on his home ground too. Bresnan's fat and Swann's not good looking enough to wear his collars up.

Ali Cook would get it.

I think he is very enigmatic. He has a look and character that is a cross between Cher and a sloth.

He must have heard you mate, he was pretty bang on after tea, he took the aus middle order apart once he got the ball to swing..
Probs have to give him man of the match, seeing as we have won the ashes outright now.
But bell was the man for me...

on to lords...

Then on to aus, when i feel it will be much closer series....
