Who cares about the Ashes. Village cricket is where it's at. Barningham II are going to take the Darlington & District Cricket League C Division by storm...

Unfortunately not. His wife's not dead either [Did I just say that?]

McGrath = My favourite player of all time.

I'm at the cricket at the moment and the WIndies are not interested in the slightest. Chanderpaul is batting like it's a test match. But unfortunately we don't seem to have a batsman who can nail a decent delivery at the moment. At least the sun has come out though.

Well Chanderpaul has gone so we should wrap this up in another 30 runs.

WIndies on 223 for 8. 103 behind England.

I will join you on that one. I do like the ashes though for some odd reason.

Don't mind a bit of Twenty/Twenty cos it's fast paced.

Test cricket is just too slow and boring.

Hope england win but the aussies are still a strong team and dealt my saffas a lesson a few months back. Hughes will score a fuck load and johnson will take 30 wickets. Your media is talking up bopara but in all honestly he has only made runs against shit teams. I think the aussie may win 4-1 but i hope england win 5-0 as the aussies are arrogant c^^$s

I will go for 2-1 England, if the weather men are to be believed we are in for a good summer, so that should mean results in all the tests.
Our bowling is definitely the key as we do not really have a main strike bowler anymore like Harmison or Hoggard, Jimmy Anderson will have to step up to the plate and have the series of his life, and of course the fitness and form of Freddie Flintoff will play a big part.

What?!

ALL cricket players are a bunch of fucking wank bags, from club level at it's lowest right through to top grade professionals. Cricket players are strokers.

Australia 2-1.

As long as English bowlers don't miraculously gain some sort of ball swinging super-power like last time *cough-sweet-mints* Australia should win.

I believe it was actually vaseline from underside of caps, my mate who works for Sky Sports in studio and they were all told to edit out. Then again, the Australian cricket team are not with out guilt, every cricket team will take any possible advantage they can.

Yeah.

As painful as it was for me, the last Ashes series in England was bloody brilliant.

That Ashes was what got me into cricket. Never got the appeal of it before, but I had the summer off so I was able to watch the full thing and really get into the atmosphere of it. I think I'm hooked for life now, yesterday I was obsessively checking the BBC text updates every over.

Top man, great sport. Test cricket is an amazing test of skill, flexibility in strategy, endurance, pressure and ability to predict the weather.

I can understand why people don't like it. On the face of it.... it can appear boring. It's sort of an acquired taste. I'm also hooked for life.

I enjoy 20/20 and one day matches.... But Test Cricket is the business.
