Had a bit of good fortune this evening at wolves. Won't make up for last nights disappointment but it will help to soften the blow.

Some are stick on's..
Some are real 50/50's..

From the top of the card going down..

Anderson Silva Vs. Thales Leites
Sliva is rated by some as pound for pound number one in the whole of mma.
Pretty hard to go against him, even though leites is deserving of his titile shot. His jui jitsu is deadly, on the ground he's got a chance of subbing the spider, but unlikely..
Win to anderson sliva.

Chuck Liddell Vs. Mauricio Rua
The big one for me, and hardest to call.
My heart say shogun rua, but my head says chuck.
Shogun dominated in pride, but has looked less than impressive in his 2 ufc fights, tapped out to griffin, but with a blown knee, a year out and a lackluster display against his old foe mark colman.
But if he has his cardio sorted ..then he can beat anyone..
Chuck is comig back from being knocked out stone cold by rashad evans. near 40 now but still has that one punch knock out power..

winner Liddel.

Krzysztof Soszynski Vs. Brian Stann
I see brian stann taking this one..still pretty green, and up against much more experienced 'Kris' ultimate fighter vet..but stann is decent..

Winner stann..

Cheick Kongo Vs. Antoni Hardonk
Kongo is a monster, but hardonk is one of those dutch stylist's a little like "El Guapo" bas rutten..
Kongo is asking for a title shot, but will do well to beat hardonk.

Im edging towards hardonk for the win..

Steve Cantwell Vs. Luiz Cane
Could be a little cracker this..
Really rate cain, but cantwell has a decent record too, at a very similar level..
But i have to lean towards luis cain..

Eliot Marshall Vs. Vinicius Magalhaes
Two standouts from last seasons ultimate fighter..vinny has sick jui jitsu, but marshall could have won the 100 grand, very close..

Winner mashall..

Denis Kang Vs. Xavier Foupa-Pokam
Dennis kang..
Beat last time out, looked like he had somebody else pulling the stings for him..
Had some good wins, including murillo ninja rua/shoguns brother..They are chutebox from brazil, thats wanderlei silvas old camp, these guys 'were' pride FC..

Winner dennis kang..

Jason MacDonald Vs. Nate Quarry

Could be another great fight..
Jason macdonald needs to win this..And im tipping him to do it over nate the great...

David Loiseau Vs. Ed Herman
Loiseau 'the crow' is from GSP stable and Gsp in my eyes is P4P number one..
But ed herman is a scrapper..
Im leaning toward herman in this..

The last 3 fights one the card, probs will not make the PPV as may the last 3 here...
But ive nailed the ones that count...
Ill post the rapidshare links sunday...:D

Right we'll have a crack at 5 of these in an accum. I know nothing about them but that don't matter.
Liddel 8/15
Stann 6/5
cane 1/3
Mashall 21/20
hardonk 11/10
Good name that hardonk hope he's not too stiff:D
£20 accum pays £367.26 that'd do nicely.

Yep, I've put the "Kimbo Accumulator" on at Paddy Power. £3 pays about £250, but it is 8 fights!

I've also put a bet on the double for the two underdogs in the semis. Arsenal and Everton to win, at 16.5 to 1.

Ive done a accu..every fight and will get over £450 from a 3 pound bet.lol
Its a fecking long shot, but ive gone with who i think will win.
And had a little 2 quid sniff on shogun for a knockout, thats 3-1 so ill only get 8 quid back, but ive gone against him in the accu, with chuck to win..

Its Pride fc...
Ufc bought out pride 2 years ago, and then shelved it..
Pride was from dream entertainment in japan (antoni inoki) .

The rules were different from the ufc.

No elbows to a grounded opponent, but soccer kicks and stomps were allowed..:D

They had grand prix tournaments, for each weight div's and they were awesome..

Loads of rapid links for them, ill hunt some down ..

Some of the pride fighters have struggled to adapt to the octagon and ufc rules.
And the ...err drug testing was not as stringent as the usa in japan..
So some were roided up, just performance ones not like muscle building..
Its a big debate.
But it goes on in the states still, they just get clever about it..

Pride was ace, and a direct competition to the ufc..
WEC is good, but thats owned by zuffa, who owns the ufc..

Pride is now Dream entertainment in japan, and has changed its format slightly, but they still put of just as good a show as the ufc..

And dream has my boy mayhem miller..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuHgnyLsz8w&feature=related

this is a great clip ive just found of dream..

Are these not failed WWF bouts and therefore fixed for dramatic effect?
