best one I've heard in a while (this place providing much evidence):

We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the Complete Works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the internet, we know this is not true.

That's all well and good, but it's not the right phrase. It's an infinite amount of monkeys and and infinite amount of typewriters.

So your quote is gash.

OK, well that quote is wrong. The works of shakespeare thing relies on in being infinite. A million monkeys would not produce the works of shakespeare (well, it's not likely), whereas an infinite amount would.

I like the Emma Goldman quote in my sig (obviously), and from somewhere completely random:

"I want to be a consumer. I want to consume as much as I can, of as many different things as I can, for as long as I can"

Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.
