Joey Barton Admits Assault Charge

Premiership footballer Joey Barton has admitted assault and affray.
Barton, 25, was arrested in Liverpool city centre in the early hours of December 27 after becoming involved in a confrontation outside a McDonald's restaurant.

I think Newcastle may have included a clause in their contract that he won't get paid when he is doing "stir". He'll have to stich up a few extra mail bags and perhaps corner the "snout" scam in order to make up the shortfall.

More from Sky. Barton admitted having had 10 pints and 10 bottles of beer. He got into an arguement with 1 guy, hit him that hard that the guy went to the floor. Barton then stood over him and hit him some more, sound familiar? He then got into another arguement and hit someone else so hard that the guy had to have a load of dental treatment. All captured on CCTV.
