really pathetic attempt at this world cup...
the selectors need to be fired..
and that peter moores is useless..
I know duncan fletcher resigned over the one dayers, but he was a much much better coach,,
in a critical match, you don't see the aussies SA or kiwis going for ducks....

Bell Hales And root had over 7 overs of dot balls between them if they had scored a third of them in singles we would have won

absolutely ...
I refuse to get on roots back as he has been thrown in at the deep end, but i was lsitening on the radio and your spot on bert.
around 25 overs the run rate dropped quite a lot, they were on course, it was for me a case of just bottling it..

Those days of freddy running out ponting and the great series we had with them, hell even last year we scraped a series win vs the aussies...

He annoys me a lot, because he's so good, but mitch johnson id love to have in our side..and de Villiers too, he even has a proper cricketers name..

its just not cricket....

Its obviously down to SA/NZ and the aussies..good luck to em, and may the best team win..

I'm going to see what odds I can get on England losing to Afghanistan. Probably not that great.

The manner of the england performances was the scary bit. So many underperforming or just lack of decent players among 'em. Eoin Morgan, lol.

How Ben Stokes did NOT get a shirt is a fucking disgrace. He played the T20 Big Bash in Aus and had an outstanding season, and they chose not use him.

Then again, the ECB is an old boys club and crooked as fuck. It is likely they get together for G&T's regularly with the FIFA mob to learn a few tricks.

They did well - very pleased for them but India are a class above them..
It's still very much a minority sport here competing with hurley, Gaelic football, soccer and rugby but it's quite strong where I live here in North County Dublin and funnily enough very much a working mans game..not just for the Anglo Irish landlords :TopHat1

Mate, I just checked, Ireland are not out yet, if you beat Pakistan you are in the finals. Which you are capable of.

India are going to have to slog it around for the next 15 overs if they're going to get to the final! Unlikely but should be fun to watch :TopHat2

listened on the radio at work, glad aussies won.
its going to make for a great final, im sure danny can confirm this but in cricketing term, i don't think there is any love lost between the pair..

With us and the aussies its a top banter, but the kiwis and aussie just flat out dislike each other..

Both there on merit too, beating SA and India in the semis to get there. Australia's bowling was superb earlier on, should be (another) home nation WC win.

Well that will happen given it's an Aus/NZ home WC. NZ have a really top side, they are unbeaten however they have played every match in NZ, the one Aus lost was....against NZ in NZ. They have to come to the MCG and produce, I feel we an do it, but it will be a good contest.
