Ok..i just got a call from some, err ..person with a slightly indian accent, telling me he was a pc medic from microsoft..
And told me he was authorized to fix my pc for free..the daft cunt.
I told him i built it and know it inside out, and there is no malware or virus or anything..
he said can we see and make sure, so i was pushing him, on how he wanted to do this..

He said "next to you c t r l key" I said what the control key.."yes"..there is a windows key..
So i say..No there is not.

"urrr"..

Mine is on the other side, i have a Ttsports gamer keyboard ..

"Oh ok...well press that and a r"..
for the run command i said..
"yessir", "and now type "EVENTVWR"...

So i googled it instead, and it came up with scam this.scam that...
Its basically a log that had reg errors, that are meaningless..so i told him this..and asked what type of scam he was going to ask me fall for, maybe to download a peer to peer program so he can gain remote access to my rig..

He hung up without another word..

So if any of you get this call, you know whats coming my friends..

loads of times when that happens it's an automated thing checking when you're in so they can get an actual human being to call you.

or are you saying you now have Hetty Wainthrop's number?

Father- in-law got caught out with this a couple of years ago. They charged him about £70 to install a free bit of software.

The daft cunt.

One of my fondest memories of a phone scammer in London was virtually exactly as Kimbo described, me saying 'you're a fucking liar', hanging up, and he called me straight back and asked 'why'd you hang up for?'.

They are trained well I will give them that.

I had a mate who worked for.....hmmmm, something 'phone' out of Kentish Town, in and out bound mobile phone selling centre, he said the easiest sell was the welsh from some back end place of no where. They'd call up to and ask about an offer...sold in minutes. Quite mad.

De-facto mother in law fell for this as well. A productive day of wiping the computer clean and changing account passwords on another device followed. One hopes it was an effective aversion therapy session. I often get these cunts on the phone, trlling them you run linux or own an iThing works as well, as does going into a long conversation before saying that you're fully aware it's a scam and you hope they die of aids. Having scammers lose their shit and start swearing at you is hilarious.

You need to get on a safe list which stops your phone number being distributed Kimbo. It's really easy and just a one off £5.99 registration fee. PM me your credit card deats and I'll sort it out if you like.
